The Orbiter features a highly portable design that can change its optics with a breeze using ARRI’s Quick Lighting Mount (QLM), a bayonet-style connection similar to a camera lens mount. Available optics include 15, 30, and 60° open-face optics that produce a directional beam; 15, 25, and 35° projection optics that produce a sharp, focused beam with evenly distributed color; and small, medium, and large domes that provide a large area of soft light. The light can also be used with separately available light banks, barndoors, honeycombs, and other light-shaping accessories with the appropriate adapter.

Using ARRI’s Lighting Operating System (LiOS), you can control all color modes, effects, and lighting grids right from the built-in control panel. LiOS features eight color modes such as CCT, HSO, RGBACL, Gel select, X/Y coordinates, source matching, effects, and a custom mode that allows you to save over 240 favorites which can be applied to a DMX or interface. It also has three operational modes—high color rendering, high output, and low noise—for your preferred mode performance. Interfaces include 5-pin DMX in and out, two LAN ports, two USB Type-A ports, a USB Type-C port, and an SD slot for future upgrades. It also features a sync input for future applications that will sync with your camera.

The light is weatherproof and can resist dust and water splashes. Its redesigned mounting points secure an optional yoke for positioning with a +/-90° tilt, and the yoke features a standard 1 1/8″ Junior pin mounting point.

The Astra’s functions may be adjusted locally using the intuitive built-in controls, or operated remotely with one of the optional DMX512 Modules, available in XLR 5-Pin, RJ-45, or Wireless formats. Each module provides Master/Replica configuration for the control of single lights, or for multiple light fixtures in a network or daisy chain. In addition, the Astra Bluetooth module provides the same kind of control of single or multiple lights from a portable device, using the free Litepanels SmartLite app download. The accessory modules slide into place on the rear of the Astra panel simply and quickly, with no wiring or complex installation required.

The Gemini has a number of convenience features, such as the ability to stack and gang several lights together with an optional yoke and hardware. You can also daisy-chain multiple lights together in Master/Slave mode, allowing a single designated “Master” light to control the others. This version of the Gemini ships with a standard yoke and an EU power cable.

All of these adjustments can be made locally on the unit or remotely via a console, thanks to the P300c’s built-in DMX, or with wireless control of all aspects of the light from a smartphone using the Sidus Link app. The P300c is ready for worldwide use, thanks to its 100 to 240 VAC power supply but it can also run on 24 to 48V batteries when AC power is unavailable.

The Amaran HR672 Daylight 25° Spot and Flood 75° LED panels use 672 95+ rated LEDs to render colors with optimal precision and accuracy. The lights’ 5500K color temperature means that you can easily match it with other daylight sources like HMIs and cool white fluorescents, as well as balance the unit with ambient daylight conditions. An orange conversion (3200-5500K) filter is supplied to match tungsten lights or for creative late day lighting effects.

Among the HR672’s advanced features is wireless control of the light’s functions and light intensity from up to 328′ away thanks to 2.4 GHz FSK technology. This is an especially valuable tool for adjusting lights hung overhead or on large sets or locations. It’s also great for solo shooters and multi-light setups. The included remote control has 4 discrete channels to defeat interference and 3 groups for multiple setups. The HR672 also features a stepless rear dimming dial for adjusting light output from 0 to 100%. The light panels can be powered by the included multi-voltage AC adapters or the included NP-F970 batteries using the dual rear battery slots. Four LED indicator lights on the back of the unit display the remaining battery life.
