These are used on the last lighting fixture on the circuit to terminate the DMX512 data signal. Available in 3-pin and 5-pin versions, male and female.

They are housed in Neutrik XX series connector bodies with red glands, and are labelled ‘DMX terminator’ under a protective transparent ring.

The Neutrik True Outdoor Protection (TOP) series was designed for the increasing demands on interconnection systems. In particular, in harsh environment applications, where entertainment equipment such as PA systems, signs, LED screens or lighting, require an environmentally sealed connector. These UV resistant, ruggedized, sealed connectors are IP65 and UL50E rated.

The TOP series is a heavy-duty XLR connector for outdoor applications. The connector is sealed when mated with a related cable or panel connector from the TOP series. It is available in 3 and 5 pin configurations, with gold-plated contacts.

They are easy to assemble, with only four parts and no screws. The contact block is hard plastic (polyamide), and is inserted from the rear of the shell. The female contacts have solder buckets, and incorporate a solder barrier to prevent solder running into the contact mating area. The female connector has a solid metal latch, sealed under UV resistant rubber. The Neutrik chuck design gives secure clamping to all cables 5.0mm – 8.0mm diameter. Glands with polyurethane strain-reliefs give high protection to the cable against bending stresses. Supplied unassembled, in individual plastic bags.

This range of high quality BNC connectors offers excellent mechanical and electrical performance and simple assembly. Precision machined components give true 75 ohm impedance and excellent return-loss, even at frequencies up to 4.5GHz, making them suitable for 3Gb/s HD-SDI 1080p, SD-SDI and analogue video. A compact variation on the traditional BNC twist-lock connector, mating / un-mating is achieved by twisting the whole connector, rather than just an awkward knurled front coupling nut as on conventional styles.

The integral cable strain relief boot gives an extended area of grip making these ideal for recessed connection panels or high-density termination panels , where restricted access to the ‘head’ of a conventional connector might be an issue. An integral black cable boot is standard with each connector (unless ordered in dissassembled packs – see ordering note at foot of group description) and provides strain relief. Additional coloured boots, for easy cable identification, may be ordered separately and substituted at the time of assembly. BST-BNC boots are for use with NBNC type connectors, BST-BLC boots are for use with NBLC type connectors. A rubber cap with cable attachment loop is also available.
